United travelled to the London Stadium to face West Ham United in what was, as expected, a tightly contested fixture. I think we basically wasted the first half in a chess game – trying too hard to avoid mistakes instead of going for it.

We huffed and puffed but time starting running out and I started getting desperate as the last 10 minutes were ebbing away in front of me.That changed in dramatic fashion deep into injury time when Sesko again proved decisive. In the sixth minute of stoppage time, he scored a beauty with the deftest of touches to level the score 1–1, rescuing a point for United and extending our unbeaten run under Carrick.The late equaliser was a reflection of United’s recent form: results secured not always by dominance but also by determination and seizing key moments.
