Manchester United 2
Tottenham 0
Michael Carrick’s miracle cure continued to do it’s magic an United beat 10 man Spurs in another solid performance by our beloved team. It was a fitting performance on the 68th commemoration of the Munich air crash.
United started brightly and Mbeumo could have given the lead very early but his left footed shot went over the bar. United continued to dictate the tempo but Spurs started.
Getting some joy on the ball halfway through the half Then the turning point of the match. Romero was reckless in his challenge on Case and he was shown a straight red. Over 60 minutes with an extra man on the pitch seemed promising and within 10 minutes United were ahead.
And it was a goal planned on the training grounds The corner was played short, the ball was played back into Mbeumo’s path who slotted home.
In the second half we played like a side capable of scoring again but Spurs were not allowing much space On 81 minutes Dalot did what he should be doing more often -sent a decent cross in the box and guess who popped up at the end of it? Bruno 2-0 and game over.
The players are playing with the right mentality and Mbeumo smirking when being taken off with a few minutes to go is the stuff In want to see. Let’s hope we can win again on Tuesday in London and finally get rid of the kid with the obnoxious hair who’s been waiting for the 5 in a row…Numquam Moribimur!
