The hopes of making it to the next round of the Euopa Laegue were kept alive thanks to two late goals by Rasmus Hojlund who came of the bench to secure 3 important points for United. I could only watch the highlights of this one as I got caught up in another event. It does not seem I missed much to be honest as it was, seemingly, another opaque display by Amorim’s United.

After a rather dull half of football, Onana decided to spice it up, gifting PLzen a goal. He has been fooling around with the ball all season, it was inevitably going to happen. Hojlund equalised with a tap in minutes after coming on for the embarrassing Rashford and then left it late to gather Bruno’s pass and turn and shoot past the opposing keeper for the winner.

A game that proves, if there was need for it, that Hojlund is a better striker than Zirkzee. The problem is that we need strikers to be scoring week in week out and none of them seem to be able to do it. Then again, we are still not creating much chances even with Amorim’s arrival…Numquam Moribimur.
