A dramatic derby win for our beloved red devils as the noisy neighbours continue in their miserable run of form. To be honest I think that our rivals were the better team in the first part of the match and they took a deserved lead when, once again, we conceded from a set piece.
The reaction was there and despite not creating much, I do think we were slightly better than Citeh in the second half, especially in the last half hour. The harakiri by their defender to gift us a pen was of course a major turning point but I have to admit that the winner from Amad was not something I saw coming.
As usual, I went hiding when Bruno stepped up to equalise and then lost it completely when Amad hit (or mishit) the winner. And so did everyone at the MUSC Malta – an unexpected derby win, and hope that this season will start to get better. The place was buzzing…smiles on everyone’s faces.
But we have had our hopes quashed so many times in the past years that I am just enjoying this moment and that’s it – until the next derby – Manchester is RED…Numquam Moribimur.
