Brighton 0
Man Utd 2
United ended the season with a 2-0 win at Brighton who, quite frankly, should have won the match in the first half when they dominated thanks to a pathetic performance from the players wearing red. It is hard to understand how these players could play so badly and that first half was bad, really bad.
Equally astonishing is the fact that some United supporters have been raving about Amrabat these past few days! Given that standards have fallen in recent years, but let’s call a spade a spade here – Djemba Djemba vs Amrabat would be a balanced affair, and probably, Djemba Djemba could edge it! Whoever decided that Amrabat is a better option than Sabitzer needs sacking. Same to whoever decided that Antony is a better bet than Diallo and Pellestri. I can go on, because this season has been littered with erratic judgements in my opnion.
Dalot gave United an undeserved lead after the break as Brigjton started tiring out and United found some courage to play. The sub Hojlund scored again when coming off the bench. Can he make it 3 in a row next weekend? All I can say is that may his viking gods be with him!!
In all honesty, we need a heist of massive proportions at Wembley on Saturday. And yet, I want to believe, against all odds…Numquam Moribimur!
