There are moments in life where a person might feel powerless especially when things feel like going in the wrong direction, after all, life is full of ups and downs and so is the cycle of a football club even the size of Manchester United.

In fact, a blast from the past suggests that Manchester United always had to fight hard to achieve success and things were never made easy for this club. For example, when the Busy Babes aimed to dominate Europe for many years, a terrible tragedy which took the life of many players prevented the Red Devils from becoming the number one team in Europe and the club had to wait at least ten years until 1968 to become kings of Europe. Consequently, such an achievement would not have happened without a proper vision and patience from the fans and the club.

Moreover, most supporters coming from the older generation will also remember how painful it was to see Liverpool dominate English and European football in the 1970s and 1980s but the club once again stood strong and came back stronger to become the greatest force in English football under the stewardship of Sir Alex Ferguson.
In the present situation, Manchester United needs a leader with a vision to take the club forward and once again, patience from the supporters as well as the club is going to be crucial. Whilst, it is up for debate whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the right man for the job, one cannot ignore that the Norwegian is still in his early days as United boss and until the ‘baby face assassin’ is given time to implement his philosophy, one will never be able to make a fair judgement.
In today’s society, patience is not a virtue especially for a spoilt generation of supporters who only witnessed excellent standards and sheer dominance during the 1990s and 2000s. In spite of this, however, with all the limitations that the current squad possesses, Man United supporters need to get behind the team and the manager and appreciate that once again the clubs needs a long-term project in order to rise again. Remember that we are Manchester United….WE’LL NEVER DIE!
