United had to come twice from behing to overcome Sheffield United at OT in a match which once again showed huge deficiencies in this United side, both tactical and individual.
Onana had been playing with fire all season with his risky passes out of the box and this time round, he was exposed. He can possibly still wear a smile as it did not cost his team any points. Conspiracy theory – he chose the match strategically to mess up, 😉 fully knowledgeable that his outfield buddies could’nt possibly bottle it against the bottom team! Well, he risked it!
Harry Maguire equalised 7 minutes after the Onana gift just before HT with a header. Excellent, we’ll ave em in the second half! 4 minutes in the second half and we were behind again. More poor defending on the flanks, and everywhere, in fact, and Sheffield United were 2-1 up. Bruno equalised from a pen on the hour and we had to wait for a wonder hit from Bruno in the last 10 minutes to be in the lead for the first time in the match. Hojlund rounded off the scoreline with a Bruno assist.
An expected win, but same old same old. We keep asking ourselves if this side has any chance of winnning the FA Cup next month. Miracles do happen, you know….Numquam Moribimur!
