I was travelling back to the rock so again just highlights for this one – thank God, if I may add! Pretty much a horror show and we were behind within the first 5 minutes as the defence went collectively into dreamland. Bruno equalised from the penalty spot before the half hour after Zirkzee was fouled in the box. 1-1 at HT.
Second half was a no show from our team. Brighton went ahead, cancelled by VAR and rightly so. But minutes later, Dalot does what he always does – allow crosses in, and Mitoma anticipated Mazraoui. 1-2.
And when one starts to think that maybe we can crawl back again, Onana confirmed that we need a new keeper ASAP. The mistake was amateurish – and it was game over.
Amorim must make some bold decisions…Numquam Moribimur!
