Another 2-2 draw

Bournemouth 2

Man Utd 2

Another drab affair down at the south and more points dropped. Once again we were totally outplayed in the first half, conceded 2 silly goals and as things panned out, we were lucky to be just 2-1 down at HT.

Willy Kambwala found out how you can go from hero to zero in less than a week. OK, the knackered Garnacho (who should never have started – yet another bad assessment of the condition of a player!!) gave the ball away and the keeper does not even resemble a decent shot stopper, but at the end of the day, Kambwala was seen worldwide getting into a tangle and allowing the striker to get away and score. Hoping that the boy learns from this match as he was all over the place for most of the match after that mistake.

Bruno had got us an unmerited equaliser on 31 minutes but it took Bournemouth only 5 minutes to find a huge gap between Dalot and Kambwala. Easily done. 2-1 and a typical case where the team can clearly be seen in a tactical mess.

The second half did not see a United rampage – I’ve actually forgotten what that means – to get an equaliser. We got what in my book was a generous penalty (maybe some payback for last week’s dubious pen awarded to the Scousers??) and Bruno stepped up to make it 2-2.

Hojlund keeps not getting any service and I am not sure but since coming back I do not recall him having many attempts on goal and that says it all. Rashford, usual uninterested display, Garnacho – see above. Casemiro – he’s toast just like Varane. Real will only sell you players with a short expiry date! The only players who put in a shift and some quality yesterday were Mainoo, AWB and Bruno.

Next weekend we go to Wembley and unless ETH can beat the mighty Coventry and take us to the FA Cup final, the season will end there. The remaining EPL matches are increasingly looking like a bore, I’m sad to say….Numquam Moribimur!
